Melo Keys vocalist (Te Kahurangi McLean), was awarded Best Vocalist at the Smokefree Rockquest Otago Regional Final, held at the Mayfair Theatre in June.

This was the third year running that Te Kahurangi has managed to secure this coveted award. 

During the show Melo Keys wowed the audience with their soulful brand of R&B music, performing their two original songs "Planet Love" and "I Don't Want To Be Your Boyfriend" with conviction and stage presence well beyond their years.
