ACafellas

ACafellas attracts students from all year levels to form a dynamic singing ensemble. It is an auditioned choir for boys ‘who really take singing seriously’. Under the directorship of Kris White and Jo Dryden, ACafellas works towards the annual 'Big Sing' competition for regional and national choirs.

The choir has successfully competed in the ‘Big Sing Festival,’ winning several awards over the years and for the last 2 years has received commended for their overall performance.

ACafellas members rehearse regularly, requiring each student to attend a 2 rehearsals each week. The rehearsals are focused, fun and valuable for establishing a unified sound and performance.

King's of the Pacific

2018 saw the beginning of a new choir at King's. After the enthusiasm shown for Polyfest in 2017 we wanted to continue to develop and enjoy the musical talents of these young men so in term one of 2018 we formed King's of the Pacific Choir. We took nearly 30 boys to the Town Hall Stage for The Big Sing and we received wonderful comments from the adjudicator. In his sum up he wrote " I think this a choir that really could be a force to be reckoned with if you want ". We accept that challenge.
