Dale Dai
Hi everyone, my name is Dale. I am an intelligent international student from China. I have been studying at King’s High School for nearly two years since I arrived here in 2014.
During my early time at King’s, everything to me was new; new culture, new environment and new friends. I was so curious about everything around me. I started to make new friends and make study plans with my teachers as fast as I could. This not only helped me get into the local culture quickly but also created a new adventure for me.
I am very proud of what I have achieved in my Level 1 NCEA exam last year. I gained 107 Excellence credits, gained Excellence in three subjects, Merit for two subjects. Besides academic area, I also play tennis for the school team. Last year, my partner Ally and I achieved an impressive result in the summer competition. By the way, I am also very good at piano.
Right now, I am a Year 12 student. I am doing English, Scholarship Calculus, Physics, Chemistry, Music and Art Design. In the holidays I am attending Duke University (North Carolina, USA) to
do some summer school classes.
Looking to my future, I wish that I have an unforgettable time at King’s High School. After that I intend to go to Auckland University then on to university in the USA.
