The King's Orchestra aims to provide those learning instruments through the itinerant scheme or through private tuition the opportunity to practice and perform as a group. Later in the year, members head to the Secondary Schools Music Festival and perform as part of the huge orchestra of students from all over Otago. The King's Orchestra will get together weekly to rehearse.
