All our international students are carefully placed and managed in selected homestay situations. They then have the opportunity to form a relationship with an extended family.
On arrival, students are met at the airport by staff and their new family. A comprehensive Orientation programme is scheduled before classes begin. Staff encourage integration within classes. Several curriculum areas involve field work – international students are welcomed on Geography, Tourism and Outdoor Education trips. This provides a great opportunity to see more of the country.
Homestay Family
King’s High School has several families who are happy to look after your son while he attends the school. Our families are all experienced in Homestay and really enjoy being involved with, caring for and assisting your son's stay in New Zealand.
Our staff and I work hard to place your son with the family we believe will suit him best. We base this on the information you provide on the enrolment forms. We understand that your son is a long way from home and it is important for both of us that your son is settled and well cared for.
