Facilities
The boys learning experience is encouraged and enhanced through the outstanding facilities the school has at its disposal.
The "new school" was entirely rebuilt in 1991. The buildings are architecturally designed, modern, comfortable and attractive. Facilities include a state-of-the-art Performing Arts Centre. This exceptional building was completed in 2005 and offers unparalleled opportunities for boys interested in the performing arts.
A purpose built Catering Suite run by our own Chef and a Technology Centre that is one of the best of it’s kind in New Zealand offer students the chance to experience a 'hand-on' education.
Two recently refurbished gymnasiums are complemented by squash courts, tennis courts and large sports fields on site. There are specialists suites for science, art, computing, graphics and design, and a spacious and well resourced library.
The Board of Trustees, who are charged with the management and development of school property, are committed to maintaining 21st century facilities to complement changing curricular and to enhance King's High School boys educational opportunities.
